Virtual School of Presidents in Kremlin

The internet website called "The President of Russia to All School Age Citizens" has added a new section – "The School of the Presidents". Andrei Varlamov (vice-president of The Russian Federation President's Press-Administration Department) stated that the new section concerns the future president which today is a pupil but tomorrow could be the leader of the country. He presented to Kremlin's journalists the upgraded "childish" website of the head of the state.

The new section starts with one question "Do you want to be the president of the Russian Federation?" The young user will get acknowledged with several important things like: who might be the president and how much time is left till the moment when president's elections will take place. Afterwards the website offers a test which allows pupils to understand their leadership abilities, meaning those that a future president should have.

After passing the test one can enroll into the virtual "School of the President". Varlamov outlined that, though this school is virtual, it has its classes just like in any other ordinary school.

Although the "basic content of the website" is not related to the president himself, Vladimir Putin is aware of the whole information provided on it. The developers of the website stated that in 2006 the site was visited by 200,000 users that had looked through 3,7 million pages.

The classes in the virtual school mainly refer to the organization of the Russian state, Russian language and many more. According to the words of the website's editor, the webpage was also supplemented with new games, dedicated to the historical periods of Russia.

Every new stage of the game refers to a step-by-step development of the history, from one century to another. There's also a new version of the game called "the heads of the state". This version encompasses the events of the Russia's third century authorities.

The new version of the game called "the time river" flows along the Russian literature of the 11th and 12th centuries. In this game one may find out about the wisdoms of the old Russian ancestors, which is why the new version was called "Speech in Time".

The design of the website was also improved. In 2007 the "school of the president" is to be expanded, allowing the users to visit the residence of the president. The site already contains a lot of material concerning such topics like: what is government, how is it organized, how to vote at elections and many more.

Although the site is written in Russian, there is almost not one country the representatives of which did not visit the website.
