Cyberterrorists Will Be Banned from the Internet» Science, Technology and Internet [Jan 05, 2007] |
Cyber terrorism has become a big problem since the development of internet and some countries are going to take serious measures to fight it. One of such countries is Egypt. Egypt's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs has announced the start of international partnership and collaboration of fighting against cyber terrorism.
The idea is to find and fight terrorist groups that use the World Wide Web as a means of sharing their ideas of aggressiveness and fundamentalism, which are actually being fought not only on the 'cyber' level.
The man in charge, the deputy Aziz Seif el-Nasr, stated that very soon Egypt will initiate the necessary steps for implementation of this initiative throughout the world. He also said that in order this plan to have any effect extra steps in changing the rules of using the "triple W" should be taken.
Cyberterrorism has become a serious, and moreover, a global problem recently. Here the terrorists are allowed to post and spread their ideas in any form and almost any quantity. Their web-sites show openly materials (both text and media files) of different terrorist acts or any other violence, which they either plan to do or have already done. This is what the Egyptians intend to stop and many agree with this initiative.
