Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro and Nokia 330 Auto Navigation | Nov 14, 2006 |
What I found this week on the net are two (maybe not brand new, but anyway...) GPS gadgets but from two giants of world's economy - Ferrari and Nokia. Ferrari, however, only helped in creating a GPS, while Nokia made one of its own.
The Red Horse Will Show You the Way
Ferrari, Ferrari, Ferrari, Ferrari..... Everywhere Ferrari! On caps, on t-shirts, on jackets, on socks, on pants... like I said - everywhere! The new thing Ferrari assisted at is Becker's Traffic Assist Pro for Ferrari (from Ferrari for Ferrari!) The gadget looks like a true Ferrari - the hot red color contrasts perfectly with the black buttons.
Why driving a Ferrari if you're not allowed to drive faster than allowed?! I don't understand it. The new Traffic Assist Pro has an integrated database with a list of speed radars, so you can avoid these vicious boxes!
Among the possibilities of this device is, of course, helping you to navigate. It has a GPS receiver and a 400 MHz processor, it structure CISC and the 4 inches touch-screen with 65,536 helps navigating the navigation system itself. The system contains Navteq maps of 37 countries.
The nav system has 64 Mb integrated memory, whereas there is also a 2 GB Memory card including the maps of European countries.
As for other functions of this watch, there could be mentioned the MP3 and WMA files playback. The Lithium Polymer should provide 4.5 hours of work, though I've never seen a gadget to correspond to this specification. This navigational gadget should be priced at range of 900 USD (or 700 Euro).
If you have a Ferrari to drive and are such a faithful Ferrari fan that you see nothing but Ferraris around you, consider this small Ferrari personalized gadget.
Crossing Europe with Nokia
Nokia makes its way from one top to another - from the mobile phones' market top to the top of mobile gadgets, like nav systems.
Nokia 330 Auto Navigation has been very expected by the automobile enthusiast. Nokia officials haven't given much information regarding the device, but what we already know about it impresses much.
It is equipped with a 3.5 inches touch screen and the stock memory card of this thing is 2 gigabytes. The card contains whether maps of Europe or North America - this seems to be a matter of choice and location. It is expected that the 330 Auto Navigation will playback audio and video files, as well as will be familiar with various photo formats. The question of its compatibility with Bluetooth is still open!
The Europe presentation of Nokia 330 Auto Navigation in the fourth quarter of 2006 should be followed by US release. The price of retail sale is expected to be around 450 USD.
